Surveys Are Fun But……

   I found taking surveys are fun but very time consuming.  The time spent taking surveys is a drop in the bucket compared to the time spent trying to opt-out and getting rid of the spam ads and unwanted e-mail.  LORDY!  I am still getting 15 + spams/day and another 15 unwanted e-mails!  I take the time to opt-out of each but it doesn’t seem to have made much of a dent.  Each of the websites states it can take 7 - 10 days for the opt-out to take effect, so I am still in that window for a lot of them.  A few of the sites use sneaky tactics in opting out.  They will tell you to click on the link and when you do, it will take you not to someplace to unsubscribe, but  to an ad or just to their site with no way to opt-out from there.  I have discovered that on almost all of those if you back out to the where you clicked to opt-out originally and re-click on the link a second time it will take you directly to the opt-out site.  Like I said, ” sneaky “.    I guess I don’t understand the survey game well enough to figure out why they would want to keep someone that is no longer interested.  Maybe they figure I’ll eventually buy something.
